Terms of business

The terms for our surveys, quotes and installations. Written to be read.

Last updated 16 October 2026

1. About us

These terms apply to work carried out by Peak Air Renewables Ltd, registered office 9 Stoughton Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4DS. Contact: cool@peakair.co.uk. We work only for homeowners and tenants (with their landlord's permission) in their own homes.

2. Surveys and quotes

Surveys are free and carry no obligation. After the survey we send a written quote setting out the equipment, the work included and the price. Quotes are valid for 30 days. The price on your quote is the price you pay unless you ask us to change the work, or we find something at installation that couldn't reasonably have been seen at the survey, in which case we'll explain and agree it with you before doing anything extra.

3. Accepting a quote and the deposit

You accept a quote online, by email or in writing. Acceptance forms a contract between us on these terms. A deposit, shown on your quote, secures your installation date. The balance is due on the day the installation is completed and working. If you don't pay the balance when due, the equipment remains ours until it's paid for.

4. Your right to cancel

Because our contracts are usually agreed at your home or online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting your quote, without giving a reason. To cancel, email us at cool@peakair.co.uk or write to us with a clear statement. If you cancel within that period, we refund your deposit within 14 days.

If you ask us to start the installation within the 14-day period and then cancel, you pay a proportionate amount for work already done. Once the installation is complete, the right to cancel ends.

5. Before installation day

Please make sure we can reach the rooms and outside areas involved, that there's power available, and that you have any permission needed (for example a landlord's or freeholder's consent, or listed building consent). We'll tell you at the survey if we think planning permission or consent is needed.

6. Our work

We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, using F-Gas certified engineers, and in line with the manufacturer's instructions and the relevant regulations. Electrical work is certified. We take care of your home, protect floors and furnishings, and leave it clean and tidy.

7. Warranty

All equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, which we register for you on completion. Its length and conditions are set out in your quote. Some manufacturer warranties require annual servicing. If anything is wrong with our workmanship, tell us and we'll put it right. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these terms.

8. If things go wrong

If we have to rearrange an installation date, we'll tell you as soon as we can and offer the earliest alternative. If you need to rearrange, please give us as much notice as possible. We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. We're responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy, email cool@peakair.co.uk and we'll do our best to put it right quickly.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
